Why this Role Matters
We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the systems that store, process, and analyse critical business data. You’ll be working hands-on with large-scale, real-time data pipelines, ensuring they are efficient, secure, scalable, and optimised for business insight.

What You’ll Be Doing

Designing and maintaining robust data architectures and high-throughput pipelines.

Implementing data warehouses and lakes capable of handling significant data volumes while guaranteeing reliability and security.

Developing algorithms for data processing and advanced analytics on both structured and unstructured data.

Collaborating closely with data scientists to deploy machine learning models into production environments.

Partnering with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions.
What You Bring
We’re looking for strong technical expertise backed by hands-on problem-solving skills, ideally with experience in complex, distributed systems:

Core Java expertise — solid knowledge of Collections, Concurrency, and Memory Management.

Hands-on work with Confluent Kafka — including Kafka Streams, Connect, and Schema Registry.

Exposure to Apache Flink for real-time and stateful stream processing.
-
Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming design patterns.
-
Integration experience — linking streaming platforms with data warehouses and data lakes.
-
Strong in SQL and PL/SQL across relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.

Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and containerized deployments.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated build/release tooling.

Version control skills (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket).

Adept at performance tuning and production issue resolution for distributed systems.

Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern engineering best practices.

Familiarity with SOLID principles and design patterns.

Ability to juggle multiple priorities with a structured, analytical mindset.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
