Role : Trainee Engineer- Fresher

  • Job Location: Bangalore
  • Cut Off Criteria: Minimum 60% throughout academics
  • Backlogs: No standing arrears/ backlogs during the selection process
  • Degree: BE / B.Tech
  • Year of Completion: 2023 / 2024
  • Eligible Branch/Stream: Mechanical Engineering
  • Salary: 3.75 LPA (3.5 LPA fixed + 25k retention bonus payable post completion of 1 year)
  • Service Agreement/ Bond: 3 years
  • Selection Process: Online Assessment + Two rounds of Interview (Shortlisting on all stages)
  • Candidates should have their original Graduation Marksheet & Provisional Degree Certificates before getting onboarded

 

Skills and Knowledge good to have:

1. Technical Skills:

  • Solid Mechanics & Thermodynamics: Strong understanding of material properties, stress analysis, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamic cycles.
  • CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Software:
    • SolidWorks
    • AutoCAD
    • CATIA
    • PTC Creo
    • NX Siemens
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Knowledge of simulation software such as ANSYS or Abaqus to analyze stresses, thermal effects, and deformations in mechanical components.
  • Manufacturing Processes:
    • Understanding of processes like casting, welding, machining, molding, and 3D printing.
    • Knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
  • Control Systems: Basic understanding of control systems, sensors, and actuators, especially if you’re interested in automation or robotics.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Proficiency in using CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM can be helpful for those interested in fluid-related problems.
  • Strength of Materials: Ability to analyze and calculate the strength of various materials and structures under load.

2. Software Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): For documentation, reporting, and analysis.
  • MATLAB/Simulink: Used for simulations, numerical analysis, and system modeling.
  • Python or C/C++ Programming: Basic programming skills for automation, data analysis, or control systems.

3. Practical Skills:

  • Prototyping and Fabrication: Hands-on skills in creating prototypes, using 3D printing, or working in workshops with tools like lathes, drills, welding machines, etc.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to approach complex engineering problems methodically and find innovative solutions.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with basic project management principles (e.g., Gantt charts, task prioritization, deadlines).
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards and Codes: Familiarity with national and international engineering codes like ISO, ASTM, and ASME.

4. Soft Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication skills are important for interacting with teams, documenting work, and presenting ideas.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Most engineering work is done in teams. The ability to work effectively with others, especially in cross-functional teams, is crucial.
  • Adaptability and Willingness to Learn: Industries change rapidly, and new technologies emerge frequently. A willingness to continuously update your skills and adapt to new challenges is vital.
